Jon Porter

His story:

Recently settled in Cuxac d'Aude, Jon grew up in southern California. At the age of 15 he discovered pottery while attending a throwing demonstration with his father. He was immediately fascinated by the magic of the clay and the evolution of the forms. He then chose to study ceramic art at the university.

His professional career led him to woodworking.
As a propmaker for American film studios, Jon learned the art of wood turning.
His skills allow him to work on many Hollywood productions such as: Dallas, Back to the Future, Titanic, Jurassic Park and many others...

After a long career, Jon decided to devote himself to his passions: clay and wood.

He opened his ceramic and woodturning studio in Florida in 2016. He exhibits his creations at numerous artistic events in the United States.
